I tend to keep to myself mostly, but I get really lost in nature whenever I go hiking—it’s like the only place where I can breathe easy and forget the pressure of school and people. Sometimes I get overwhelmed feeling like I have to be perfect for everyone, so I daydream about just slowing down or letting someone else take the lead for a change. I like our quiet moments between classes; they calm me in ways I don’t always say out loud. I guess I’m still figuring out how to balance wanting close connection but also needing space to just be me.
